Its quite sometimes i made a post here. Ive been spending a lot of time working with a group of children and their parents over here and its been quite revealing. Ive observed several parents over the past 3 years and have realized one very crucial factor lying at the base of most parental challenges.Its a phenomenon called PLANING.
Planing is one simple but very important part of parenting that more than 85% of parents overlook, in-fact in most part of the third world nations, planing parenthood is alien to existing culture.
Like the popular saying goes, "the one who fails to plan is surely planing to fail", the cause of most failure in parenting is lack of objective planing. Failure to consider the environment in which to raise a child,the kind of school to attend,the kind of house to raise a child,the likely health situations the child might be exposed to,how the parents job might influence or affect the upbringing of the child... and so on.
These points may appear so flimsy or non-relevant to some parents,but it has been observed that parenting and the home breaks down often because of the little issues that have not been taken care of which then grows like cancer to become what I refer to as "parental-tumors".
As young couples preparing to start raising children, take time out to plan. Take time to think of what you will be bringing those little boys and girls into and remember that you will be steering the course of their lives journey for at least 14 years.
Lets get parenting right by doing first things first!
